Heinrich Wilhelm-Schaumann (1904-1992), a visionary man, very energetic and insightful, founded Schaumann company some 86 years ago (1938). He was also the initiator of the idea and planning (Schaumann Concept) which until today ensures the continuous development and success of the company. Schaumann is today the leading European group in farm animal nutrition programs as it is considered dominant and pioneer in the field of mineral feed and nutritional products for farm animals as well as biological silage additives in most European countries. Since 1953 it has had its own research center and experimental station in Huelsenberg, Germany, one of Europe’s most renowned research and science centers spread over an area of 500 hectares (5,000 acres). The research and development department for new products is also housed there to ensure the continuous development of the products in order to be able to meet the requirements of every producer who trusts in Schaumann quality. Each product is subjected to long-term checks and tests in practice before being released.

IS Forshung, owned by Schaumann in Wahlstedt, Germany, also organizes workshops, scientific conferences and lectures and is a point of reference for all European scientists in the animal-veterinary sector.
